Exploring the world through a variety of instruments

including Taiko (Japan), Samba (Brazil) and Djembe (Africa)

Our world music sessions give young people the opportunity to learn and develop skills on percussion instruments from across the globe, with tuition from experienced percussionists. Our Saturday morning World Music class is for beginners or students with a little knowledge, whilst our Thursday evening Bloco Notto class is aimed at people who have been playing a percussion instrument for a while and want to learn more complex samba rhythms (see below for more info).

Light Night 2017

Bloco Notto performed a fantastic set on February 10th at Light Night 2017 outside Marks & Spencer in Nottingham City Centre. We were met by a very enthusastic crowd with very lovely things to say about the performance! Well done to all who played and thanks to those who came to watch.
