Nottingham Music Service is partnering with Black Lives in Music and the Lang Lang International Music Foundation to create opportunities for Black, Global Majority and underrepresented children and young people in the city to experience and learn the piano.
As the first step in this exciting initiative, we will be donating electric pianos across the city, thanks to the Lang Lang Foundation. Each piano would come with a free tablet with access to learning resources.

“Black and Brown Keys” is a Black Lives in Music inclusive project, celebrating diversity in music and promoting piano education within Black and Brown communities. The partnership with the Lang Lang foundation emphasises that together ’We believe that all children should have access to music and music education, regardless of their background or circumstances’ and our combined mission is to provide accessible piano learning opportunities, fostering creativity, confidence, and connection through music.
