RSE Day

Celebrating great Relationships and Sex Education in schools and other settings.  RSE Day takes place on the last Thursday in June each year.

RSE Day celebrates great Relationships and Sex Education in schools and other settings and takes place on the last Thursday in June each year.

We are so excited to have taken part in the RSE Day Song ‘It Begins With Me’ – around 1,000 children and young people from 22 Nottingham schools along with young musicians from Nottingham Music Service groups have taken part in this amazing project! The song will premiere on YouTube on 25th June.

Written by and for Nottingham children and young people, the song has been professionally recorded and filmed with pupils from city primary schools, Nottingham Music Service ensembles, and the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra. ‘It Begins With Me’, was created by the Nottingham Music Service, the Achieve Well Team, and ChalleNGe.

Find out more about the national campaign at the official RSE Day website.

RSE Day Premiere Event – Broadway Cinema

To mark the launch, schools are invited to join us for a special premiere event at Broadway Cinema, Nottingham, on Thursday 25th June 2026.

This event is particularly special as children and young people from local schools have been directly involved in creating the song, with some pupils taking part in the recording process. The launch event will give children the opportunity to walk the red carpet, learn more about how the song was created, celebrate RSE Day together, and watch the finished music video premiere.

There will also be opportunities for children to perform the song live for the people of Nottingham.
