In 2023, Nottingham Music Service in collaboration with the Northamptonshire County Youth Orchestra organised an interactive concert for an audience of pupils with special needs & disabilities. The concert was a great success with young people from schools across Nottingham City including the Oak Field School taking part. Young people had the most joyous time listening to the music as well as having opportunities to participate by dancing, playing their instruments and singing.

In July 2025, we plan to host this event again with the Robin Hood Youth Orchestra. We are raising funds through this campaign to support the costs of venue hire, transport and equipment that will be used to enhance SEND pupils' musical experience at the concert.

Big Give Christmas Challenge 2023
