Contribute ideas and help shape unique BBC orchestra concert in Nottingham
The BBC Concert Orchestra is coming to Nottingham on 10th November 2025, and they want YOU to help shape the music for this incredible event!
The concert will be broadcast nationwide on BBC Radio 3 the following Friday.
There are two ways to get involved:
1. Send in ideas for music to be played
Whether you love film scores, classical, pop, gaming music, or musical theatre, this is your chance to make your mark and we’re keen to hear your ideas. Send them in before April 1st using this link.
2. Join the Young Concert Programmers’ Group
BBC Concert Orchestra are putting together a Young Concert Programmers’ Group—a team of young people from Nottingham who will take these ideas and build them into a concert programme. You don’t need to be a musician—just creative, passionate about music, and full of ideas.
You’ll get to work with music pros from the BBC and Royal Concert Hall to design a concert that truly represents young people in Nottingham. You might even get the chance to introduce music live on national radio!
The BBC Concert Orchestra can play anything—from epic symphonies to Strictly Come Dancing soundtracks and collaborations with stars like Sam Smith and Celeste. Now, it’s your turn to decide what they’ll play next!
